Students will complete map activity on Canada this week. 9-2 students will begin this work on Wednesday. On Wednesday, 9-1 will begin activity that requires them to become more familiar with Atlantic Canada and utilizes maps in their textbooks. 9-2 will begin this work on Monday. Activity will be handed in to be graded. Students should now be reading Chapter 1 in the text in preparation for lessons during the week of October 2-6, 2006.

The first two weeks are designed to have students becoming familiar with Atlantic Canada both in relation to the rest of Canada and in the world. Studnets will learn the names of all provinces/territories and capital cities. Prior to beginning the first Unit students will create a map of Canada that will hopefully solidify their knowledge of the political and physical composition of the country. Be creative!!

During this time students should be reading Chapter 1 in preparation for class during the week of September 25 - 29.
